DENMS is a secure, decentralized messaging system. It uses the Nostr id as identifier. Cyphertexts can be sent over 4 different networks/systems as a means of transport.
Version 0.5 is built for use on desktop, along with Nos2x or other Nostr plugins.
All encryption happens locally on your device using TimeSeed cyphertext, with messages sent over Nostr, ntfy, and other networks for maximum resilience and privacy. All text is encrypted with AES-GCM and the keys are post quantum resistant.
We never hold your Nostr keys – your security is in your hands. Login requires a Nostr extension, which you can use locally without joining any social networks. We purely use it as an authenticator for end-to-end encrypted communication.
